About the Book down in the hidden corners
where the mind
curves away into secrets
does poetry ever
slip its knife
into those quiet heartbeats
where you hide

does a sunrise ever
burn magnificent holes
in your gut
do starving children ever
rip your heart
from its moorings with
their death grips

down in the hidden corners
the poet´s scalpel
probing cutting away
the scar tissue

beautiful pain
